Izzy's computer won't work so Tai and Agumon want to give it a whack. Luckily, Izzy quickly dodges them. Not long after, the kids stumble upon an abandoned factory and wander inside. Machines are running, but no one is there to work them! Joe desperately yells up to the sky, but no one is there!

The digidestined decide to split up to investigate the factory. Soon Izzy finds himself in a giant battery. He tries to fix his computer, but accidentally cuts the power! He fixes it and goes back to work copying a code from the walls of the battery. Tentomon begins to glow! After Izzy shuts off  his computer, Tentomon stops and so does his Digivice.

Meanwhile, Tai, Sora, and Joe find a "man" trapped in a gear. On closer inspection he looks like a robot, and the Digimon call him Andromon. While trying to free him, one gear gets stuck in his body. It's different than the rest... After some struggling, they are able to free the pinned robot digimon. Agumon and Tai give him a clonk on the head, and he comes to. The man-like robot begins to attack Tai and the others! Tai daringly takes over the controls of a forklift and manages to lead Andromon over an edge.

Later, they all meet up. Andromon attacks the digidestined once again! Gabumon and Agumon Digivolve, but what they don't know is he's a much higher level. Izzy gets an idea: what if the code that made Tentomon glow would make him Digivolve? He tries it and sees:

"Tentomon Digivolve to... Kabuterimon!"

Kabuterimon knocks the black gear from Andromon, which transforms the robot-man into the peaceful digimon he was meant to be. He then helps the Digidestined escape using a passage through the sewers. (Mimi is NOT happy!) Izzy can't make Patamon a "superhero," but when Tai and Agumon try to whack it, Izzy whacks him instead!
