Continuing from our last episode, Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon are exchanging attacks with Piedmon. Once the two seem to get the upper hand, Tai tells the others to digivolve and join the battle. Unfortunately, before they can digivolve, Piedmon holds up what appears to be a white flag. This is no ordinary white flag....he tosses it at Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon, and they seem to disappear. When Matt and Tai come running, Piedmon tosses the white flag at them as well. "What happened to them??The others wonder. Gasp!!! Piedmon has changed them into key chains....the perfect size for one's backpack!.

In a different area of the Digital World, Gennai has met up with Centarumon. They view the Mystical Wall of Fire and an ancient prophesy.

Back to the digidestined, Andromon takes on Piedmon so that the children can make a run for it. They approach an area that resembles a giant circus tent. If they can make it across a huge canyon, there is an exit. However, the only way across is with the use of these trapeze-like swings. Gatomon is able to get both Kari and T.K. across. Then Joe and Izzy make sure that Sora makes it to the other side. Oh, No! Piedmon arrives gloating at his latest keychain....it's Andromon. Before Joe and Izzy are able to get on the other side, they (along with Tentomon), too, become miniature novelties in Piedmon's collection.

Not far off, Mimi, Lilymon, and a large group of Digimon reinforcements are scaling a ledge. They see that a battle is taking place up ahead and urgently try to hurry.

The scene cuts to Piedmon who is smirking at his latest key chains. Sora, T.K., and Kari try to hide from the evil Dark Master, but he uses his multiple swords to pierce through ceilings and walls until he tracks them down. Angewomon and Garudamon try to hold him off. Sadly, they meet with the same fate as the other unfortunate digimon. Sora turns to T.K. and tells him to protect Kari at all costs. At first he doesn't want to leave Sora, but she insists. Gomamon wants to stay with Sora, but she insists he go especially since Joe risked his life so the small digimon could make it to safely. Also, without Joe, Gomamon can't even digivolve. Suddenly, Piedmon blasts his way into their surroundings. Gomamon dives for the key chains and is able to knock Matt's free. Sora tosses it to T.K. and screams at them to run just before the ominous white cloth blankets her as well.

T.K. and Kari run only to be met with a dead end. They're on a balcony that stands above a huge drop....it's curtains if they should fall. T.K. surveys the area and finds a basket with a rope inside (how convenient). Before the boy can grab it, the rope slowly rises to the sky. The children are hesitant to climb it at first, but then begin to climb upwards. BLAST!! Piedmon has made his way to the balcony.

Patamon digivolve to Angemon.

Angemon and Piedmon battle, but a "hand of fate" attack is not enough for this cruel Dark Master. Angemon is knocked to the ground in a crumpled heap. Piedmon goes to the rope and grabs T.K.'s foot. When they resist, he slashes the rope and sends the youngest digidestineds falling. Angemon looks up horrified. As he is falling, T.K. envisions Matt telling him to never give up. He looks down at the keychain of his brother with determination. "I'll never give up!" he says. And with those confident words his crest begins to glow.

Angemon digivolve to Magnaangemon. This powerful digimon has eight shining wings and a beam shield. He wields the mighty sword Excalibur, and his devastating attack is the "gate of destiny."

Magnaangemon swoops up the children and puts them safely on solid ground. He is able to slash through the white cloth and send Piedmon flying. Magnaangemon brings everyone back to normal using magna antidote. Unfortunately, we haven't heard the last of Piedmon. The persistent Dark Master has summoned hundreds of Vilemon and surrounds the digidestined. They know they must combine all of their powers, but some of them are missing. That's when Mimi and their other digimon friends make a grand entrance.

Gomamon digivolves to ultimate level, Zudomon.
Tentomon digivolves to ultimate level Megakabuterimon.

The combined attacks of Flower cannon, Wing blade, celestial arrow, and others weaken Piedmon and send all of the Vilemon flying into Magnaangemon's gate of destiny. It only takes a terra force from Wargreymon and a giga missile from Metalgarurumon to send Piedmon into the abyss of the gate of destiny as well. With Piedmon and the other Dark Masters gone the last remnants of spiral mountain begin to disappear. All of the Dark Masters have been defeated.

Before a celebration can take place, Gennai contacts Izzy. Oh No!!! Gennai says the Dark Masters aren't the real enemies...it's another evil force who created the Dark Masters. An explosion rings out shaking the ground like a powerful earthquake.
