After a little while, the digidestined come upon vending machines. But when Mimi tries to get a soda out one of them, only gross numemon are in there! Unfortunately one falls in love with Mimi and won't leave her alone! After Mimi insults him, he chases Mimi and Palmon into a forest with his Party Time attack. Mimi hides behind a tree while Palmon defends them with Poison Ivy. Monzaemon frightens them away, but he has a black gear and chases Mimi and Palmon too!

The Numemon with the crush on Mimi saves them and leads them to Toy Town, where they find their friends are playing around with toys - and acting like total zombies! The two find their friend's digimon locked in a chest, and Agumon recalls their meeting Monzaemon and him turning them into zombies and trapping them with Hearts Attack! But Agumon adds sadly that Hearts Attack is supposed to make people happy, not make them lose their minds!

The two go back to the streets only to meet Monzaemon! Palmon angrily digivolves to Togemon and the two start to box! Soon Togemon uses her Needle Spray, and the zipper on the Teddy bear's back opens and releases the gear! Happy that the evil spell he was under is gone, Monzaemon gives everyone "Hearts attack - with a hug!"
